Biography
Louisetta was born in 1859 in Polk County, Iowa, probably in Delaware township where her family lived and farmed. She was the daughter of Lewis (Louis) Fitz Randolph and Mary Jane Wheeler. Her father died in 1859 the same year Louisetta was born. Her family continued to live on their farm and Louisetta reportedly died there in about 1862 at only three years old. Louisetta is buried with her parents and other family members in Rising Sun Cemetery in Rising Sun, Iowa.
Surname note
In this Fitz Randolph family, Fitz appears to have been used by Louisetta's father Lewis, but not by other family members. The current consensus is therefore to use the surname Fitz Randolph for Lewis, but not for his wife or children.
